In the summer of 2010, our family - all seven of us - took a one way trip from our hometown in Iowa across the Atlantic Ocean to the city of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse in Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany. Our home is unique - there is a castle out our front door, grapevines out our back, and with 5 energetic young kids there is constant action in between. We are relearning how to do everything, but as they say in here in Deutschland, Aller Anfang ist schwer - everything's hard...at first.
